Casa do Sol is a private stone villa in Infesta, Celorico de Basto. In 2023, an old rural building began a new chapter, keeping its stone while making room for light and comfort. Today, three en-suite bedrooms welcome up to six guests, with the whole house reserved for one group at a time.
A house to spend time in
The living room offers a place to be together, and an equipped kitchen and barbecue let you organise meals around your own day. Mountain views from the terrace are part of the setting. Explore the photographs of the house to see the rooms and outdoor spaces before planning your stay.
Outside, an 11-metre private pool and a wood-fired cedar sauna provide two more ways to spend time at the property. Firewood for the sauna is included. Find the practical overview on the pool and sauna page.
Choose a little of the surrounding countryside
A rural stay can include a walk on the Tâmega greenway, a visit to Arnóia Castle or a look at Celorico de Basto's camellia gardens. Pick the outings that suit your group, checking route conditions and visiting arrangements with the relevant venue. The local guide brings these ideas together.
Casa do Sol is around 50 minutes by car from Porto, depending on traffic. A car is recommended for reaching the property and exploring the region, and parking is available at the house.
